Tapestries & Fabric Art
Fabric is stretched the traditional (and still the best) way by lacing the back squarely over a piece of conservation board. No trimming of corners, gluing, stapling, or even steaming is undertaken to make sure that the art work does not suffer damage in any way. Antique samplers and such-like are first supported onto unbleached cotton before stretching.
All work is carried out to the Fine Art Trade Guild's Conservation level of framing and as such must be fully reversible.
